Capsuleer is a great skill monitoring application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

With their recent 2.0 update, I decided it was due time to give it a review!

Style

This app really has the looks to stun.  The images, icons, and even font styles are pretty much inline with EVE and is manipulated to suit the interface well.

Headlines

In the application there are several other apps.  The headlines is a RSS feed with Capsuleer announcements, CCP feeds, and the entire EVE Blog Pack!

You can even read my blog with it, awesome!  Pictures, styling, and all of that good stuff come through and are resized to fit.  But in order to see an image at its actual size, it needs to be opened in Safari.  As each article is read, the reader automatically marks them as read.

How It Works

The main purpose of Capsuleer is for monitoring my skill queue and wallet on the go, so I imported my character information into Capsuleer.  It was quite simple!

It can display many pilots.  As long as you have the API information they can be all added into Capsuleer.

Under each character, I can view its skill queue, information on the current skill, attributes, pilot background, and all of the skills that character knows!

Server Status

In addition to all that, Capsuleer also monitors the server status of both Tranquility and Singularity!

Other

Summary

This app is a must have for EVE players that own an iPhone or iPod Touch.  It looks great and works great.

I wish they can implement some things like corporation information, transactions, POS statuses, and possibly an item database, but for now this will satisfy me! I know the guys are keeping speed and performance number one, so no pressure.

The number of people using this is staggering, over 10,000 installs, and I thought about buying an advert on it.  After looking at the price though, I think I’ll hold off on that one for now!

Looks great guys, and I am sure when the 3.0 firmware comes out you guys will be improving this ten fold!
