Escalation Message
All through the battle, one of the Gurista cruisers was engaged in intense and thoroughly encrypted communications with some other ship in another system. Even though you didn’t understand a thing of what was being said, your scanners successfully managed to locate the other party.
Terrorist Plot
Notes Of Value
- 2 rooms high security space
- In the first room, kill the “Dread Guristas Commander” (frigate) last
- In the second room, approach the viral stash
- After approaching 2,500m of the viral stash, it will trigger an AOE damage effect and a “Guristas Relay Officer” (cruiser) will spawn
- In the viral stash there was 5 units of viral agents and 44 units of data sheets
- After killing the “Guristas Relay Officer” (cruiser) a message was displayed in local and it did not escalate
- No salvage from “Guristas Relay Officer” (cruiser) wreck
- I suspect that one should stop shooting when “Guristas Relay Officer” (cruiser) reaches hull
- Kill everything before blowing up structures
- Structures did not drop any loot
Other Info
- Local communications channel:
In this container you find stacks of barrels containing viral agent, as well as a list of ship ID's, barrel ID's and times. Most of the times have passed, but the very last one is only a couple of minutes from now, perhaps if you intercept this ship that is supposedly arriving, you may find out more.
Someone has approached the Viral Stash too closely, triggering an explosion from a hidden trap nearby!
Guristas Relay Officer: Who are you!? I wasn't told of anyone guarding our Viral Stash. If you don't give me identification codes immediately, I'll have to assume you're a looter.
Sadly, a direct hit to the hull destroyed potential data.

Summary
Overall I did not receive anything worthwhile, but that is only because I think the expedition was terminated early and I did not reach the module dropping spawn.

I believe that the frig faction spawn has a chance to drop faction loot, though its rare (in my experience with sansha sites, I only had 3 drops out of about 13 frigs – afai recall).
Also, a good tip to remember with all exploration sites is to not shot any structures until all rats have been killed – and to remember to destroy all the uniquely named structures afterwards (all those that only appear once in space).
Really good post regardless, hoping to see more in the future, as we really lack a working exploration/expedition guide.
@Mashashige
Glad you liked it.
I have a bunch of notes laying around and I organized them together at first for my own knowledge, but it’s always good to share :D
I’ll try to add that extra info in when I can!
At “Guristas Watch” last pocket frigate dropped low-grade crystal implant.
At “Terrorist Plot!” got escalation right after commander frigate kill (kill order was: BC’s, commander frigate, other frigates). Didnt even visited pocket.
Second escalation:
2 groups, statis web drones (one was elite) at each group (both triggers), 1 wave from each trigger
elite drone triggers group with commander, got escalation again and worm bpc.
@Conga
Dude thanks for updating the information.
You are so lucky you got an escalation and a sweet crystal implant.
Keep up the good work and reports, and please correct my info whenever possible!
Ran the first part (Gurista Watch) today and got, in the second pocket:
– Escalation message after I destroyed all ships then the Armaments Center (control tower) for “Terrorist Plot!”
– Dread Gurista Saboteur (rookie ship class) spawn with named t1 mod, faction ammo and tag but after message was received.
I’ll update later with more info from the Terrorist Plot escalation.

Thank you for supplying information. I still need to collect and organize the reader’s experiences to make this more complete.
If you have any more information on any other stuff, go ahead and use the form on the blog to contact me!
Made it through like 3 escalations..
first+second as described, second being a huge frig-BC hoedown with 1 faction frig in the end.
Third almost like the First although it has a faction destroyer and the 2nd stage has 6 smartbombing Drone crusiers and their 2 Web buddies.
Final stage is a fight with alot of Gallente Frigs/BCs and another DG Destroyer which dropped an A-Type small sb.
Yay for me.
@Weynard
Congrats on the drop, thanks for reporting more information!
Went through the entire escalation chain today.
Exactly as Weynard described. Last step was in Low-Sec. Two large waves of Gallente Frigs and Cruisers. A Dread Guristas Frig accompanied the second wave. Dropped an A-Type small shield transporter (does anyone even use those? ^^).
There were three warp scrambler Frigs in the second wave.
got this one today, got real lucky, got a low-grade crystal epsilon off the original site, DG standard launcher off esc 1, followed all the way out for the pithi-a booster. Weynard has it dead on on the descript, the smartbomb drones didn’t approach me so they were easy (bugged maybe?). Definately worth the lowsec risk. took an omnitank drake and at worst I was only at 35% shields, though I reccomend scouting ahead for gatecamps with an alt before doing the final escalation.
Yeah didnt approach me either, put it in just in case some strange fella used a close range ship on those

Thank you all for describing the rest of the escalations. I have yet to encounter another one so far (that’s because I moved down to Sansha space) but this information may certainly help others!
Yea, I just cleared it out right now. The Gallente frigs and cruisers only really drop tags not even sure how much the tags are worth (most likely worthless). The Dread Guristas Destroyer on the other hand dropped both the Pithi A-Type Shield Booster and Pithi A-Type Shield Transporter. I guess I got really lucky. As soon as the faction ship is killed, you just have to loot it and kill and scrambling ships and you’re pretty much free to go. I ended up leaving early because I was getting scanned down (it escalated to high traffic low sec system =/). Luckily I was able to grab the modules before I left and was scanned down. Aside from the deadspace modules, all the ships drop an assortment of usual modules, so you might end up finding some really nice named module.
Weynard is right about the progression of the escalation, and the smartbombing drones can be skipped as you get the coordinates to your low sec system before you jump the gate if it does continue to escalate.
As for the tower in the last escalation, you probably won’t see it in your overview so just make sure that your structures are selected for your overview. I had to look for is after I cleared out the initial rats, so just giving you that heads up.
Also the “smartbombing” drones don’t actually smartbomb, it’s no bug or anything apparently, so don’t be worried about them.
I cleared the entire complex in a Tengu that’s fit to handle level 4 missions but a Drake with a good skills can handle it just fine if not better. There’s alot of sensor dampening so be sure you can fight close combat, or bring alot of drones, or you can wait for a break in the sensor dampening.
