Jackpot Baby

I let out a big yawn and did a big stretch just as the sun filtered through the translucent windows of my apartment.

It had been some good sleep, a well needed one after undergoing some of the best legal neuroplastic surgery available to use immortal capsuleers, the kind of surgery only dreamed of by the everyday citizens on the planet below me.

My perception and willpower had been increased by 100% through redirecting neuron flow from some of my other sensory areas.  I wanted it to be done, I needed it to be done.

I checked in with Mitch early this morning.  In order to make up for lost ISK, he did some market research and found a bunch of T1 goods which could make for some big profit and sent them to some offset stations.

Good, I thought; the money I am paying him is going to pay off.  At least I keep track of my finances, knowing how much was going where.

Recently, Roc pleaded guilty to the explicit trading practice of slavery under his name as a means of money. His incident was spread across the galaxy and he was quickly denounced.  I will never let that happen to me, and besides, being Caldari by nature, the capitalism instinct in my blood will keep me on top of the game.

Just as I stepped into Mitch’s office, he was putting on a jacket and bout to leave.  Before I could utter a word, he said to me, “1.61 billion, be right back,” and steamrolled out of the office into the mass of other people in the corridor.

Okay, I was most certainly not going to stop him; he could be losing that much out of my funds, or he could be earning it, either way, I was not going to stop him.  So I waited in his office, twirling some pens, rocking his leather seat, and peeking in his drawers.  He eventually came back almost half an hour later.

“Who just made one billion ISK in just one hour?” his face was shining.

I was stunned, “okay Mitch, I need to know you are not trading drugs or doing anything illegal. I do not ever want to be in the same position Roc is in right now.”

He laughed, “I’m not that low of a person baby, I’m Mitch, your money making accountant extrordinar!”

The story was, Mitch had been checking his copy of the transaction logs and found a buyer buying out practically all of our marketable goods. He send a mail to him and it turns out he needed 200 cloaks and 250 salvagers ASAP, also pretty much emptying out our stock. The total worth of the items were 1.61 billion and to cover for logistical expenses, the profit of it all was around 1 billion ISK. I was really proud of Mitch and tipped him a generous quarter billion, which I am sure he will invest and tenfold it for me some day.

Next up I had a meeting with Noah, hopefully he also has some good news!

Maybe I need to talk with this Mitch, and see if I can recover some of my lost income…
