Swift As An Eagle
I was behind enemy lines.
With my provisions running extremely low, it was critical that I head back to Umokka to resupply. I made a note that while I’m back there, I need to run a few industrial jobs too.
There was a lone war target in the system of Vey; I was there for a few days to recapture a few military complexes for the State over the last few days and decided to settled down there to spread some propaganda to the local Gallente masses. After my shenanigans, I was 100% sure he was aware of my presence.
My fuel gages showed I was now running on the reserve tank; I had just barely enough to take the quickest route home. My oxygen tanks were also at a critical level, although I could always risk swooping down into the patrolled planetary atmospheres to quickly fill them up.
This was going to be tight, right down to the wire. Even though my Incursus fitted for complex capturing would almost guarantee me a safe passage home with 2 warp core stabilizers and both methods of secondary propulsion, in this universe, you can never know what will happen. I landed on the gate, scanned, and found the Gallente sucker didn’t even give chase, perhaps my Captain status scared him away.
I utilized my capacitor to full power in an attempt to cut down on fuel usage, but according to the computer’s calculations, it was still going to be damn close. Despite of being frustrated at my own idiocy to stay for such a long time, I felt it was a personal challenge, a test of my piloting capacity. There were war targets to be avoided and I devoted all of my focus to getting home to continue my learning advancements.
Big uh oh. Speaking of learning, my clone is outdated and if I get podded, my recent studies would have been a waste. Another note made to buy some new clones.
It was the Kedama gate in Tama I just jumped through. A quick glance at the communications channel revealed 13 people and I felt safe. Safe is a bad word in this world; I guess I could say I felt more confident. Confidence is good, I’ve learned that over the years. With the just right amount of confidence one man can pull off something a thousand can not do.
Home was soon, I had been burnt out. My body ached and screamed for me to give it a rest and I agreed with it. I will talk with my factory manager tomorrow and the marketing guy the day after. For now, the war has been some adventure.

I’d feel strange hunting down Gallente in while flying a Gallente ship….
/breaks out anti-Caldari sentiment..just cause he’s Gallente
@Hamno
Haha, it may be some what ironic, but I gotta say no other Caldari ship is like the Incursus.
I just love it!
