Karma Strikes Back

Good things can happen to bad people, bad things can happen to good people, that is the way the world turns. Well it so turns out that Lady Luck has her own way of saying screw you too, and I had to find out the hard way.

First Time With A POS

I worked with a POS for the first time ever and boy I will agree with all the whiners out there; putting one up is a pain in the butt!

First of all, I had to deploy it, simple. Then the time came to anchor it, simple again, but I had to wait 8 minutes. After the tower was anchored down I had to jump back to the station to get fuel, which took about 4 trips in my Badger Mark II, back and forth, consuming more precious time…

After demanding that the tower comes online, which took another 8 minutes or so, I and to run back to the station again to grab my mobile lab.

Now this is when worst part of my night begins.

I picked up my module and warped back to the tower at 0km. From well within the shields I launch the said item for Cosmic Euphoria and attempted to anchor it down.

Nothing…

Again, I press anchor.

Nothing is happening…

So now I am a little frustrated, and jump into various channels trying to find help and as usual, a few guys answered me and game me some advice.

I tried docking up, repackaging the module, and then warping back at a distance to anchor it.

Nope.

I tried docking up, repackaging, warp back at 0km.

Nadda.

I tried to move the green box with arrows while trying both methods and yet again, nothing!

In the end I just gave up. My petition will hopefully be answered soon and I can get on with my life because probably about 5-10 million was lost due to this little problem.

I am very angry now. I think if this persists tomorrow, I will be forced to take a video and show you what is happening. But of this problem is solved tomorrow then I will be uploading more wonderful pictures!

Evellery

Welcome to the Evellery Tony, we hope you have a pleasant day.

“There are so much things going on in Umokka!” I said to myself as I looked in awe of all the paintings and photos around me.  Yesterday I went out night-clubbing with a few of the crew after they helped me move everything over to the new HQ.  It did take a long time to pack everything, and after that, my badger was stuffed full of giant containers hauling them back and forth to carry everything.  The whole time, I wished I had a freighter!

My collection of ships were flown to the CNAP station at moon 4 and placed them in their holding bays.  While I was still at the old station, Arkiras congratulated me on my promotion to a better agent, then said something else about needing to retire as his boss’ daughter goes to stray pleasure gardens way too much…  Just before I hauled my last load of things over to the new HQ, he shook my hand and waved me goodbye; I just noticed he has a very firm handshake.

This Evellery in Umokka is very big, I took my time to enjoy all the pictures…

Tradin

Oh dear, I believe I have found something I really dislike in EVE this last week!

Trading, specifically buy-orders.  I just don’t know how people are willing to buy items throughout the region and then have enough time to go to every system and pick them up!  My orders were set to buy medium remote armor repairers, small remote armor repairers (someone was in a bidding war with me), and ECM – Phase Inverters.  Gosh I spent a whole day traveling in my Badger Mark II just grabbing these things! What a waste of time…

Take a peek!

It may not look like much items, but trust me, there are a heck of a lot station in each one of those systems.  And above all, this is all just overnight, when I logged off for a day and came back on the next morning!

Yowzas!

Cruising

Even before I got my Crow, lately it’s just been a lot of cruising around in belts looking for Guristas and doing some small complexes that are not empty. I guess it’s fun for the first bit while, but then it gets really redundant.

Then I tried to spice things up by flipping cans, waiting for can flippers, and taking wrecks hoping someone would engage in a 1 vs 1 battle with me. So far that hasn’t been working out very well either.

Other than that, here is a small list of past events:

  • Had scouting help from Zoe for a hauling route through some low sec systems to retrieve my order of tritanium with my Badger Mark II.
  • Almost got a kill in Akiainavas (Moa) with my Crow but he got out of warp scramble range, which is 24km, for some reason. Almost had him, he was down to 20% hull. Then we were able to recruit a new corp mate who is an active miner.
  • Me and Zoe joined in on a mining operation with our good friends over in the Kul corporation and at the end, Saft surprised me and interrupted me when he brought in his cloaked Manticore.
  • Then our corp did some little PVP and had some fun flying our ships
  • The corp did a few missions for fun times.
  • Went and tried to gang flipped cans. We first tried to lure other people to us by dropping our own can with minerals in it. Not a lot of people tried to steal our containers so we stole from others. Very good operation for a first fleet flip.
  • Received another new corp mate
  • Back to level 4’s with Saft, Zoe, and Busta. Yay!

Ya, that’s what I do, besides throwing up some sell orders and contracts.

I also wanted to share with you guys on how things have been going and to present to you some of the beautiful scenery of EVE online!
